Our early childhood development program gives the most vulnerable children in Kibera a head start in life in a protective and nurturing environment. Through our community Nursery School, we offer early education and room for play, critical nutrition and protection services, HIV testing and referrals to other support services. We reach 85 children ages 3-7 annually.
We utilize Kenya’s early education curriculum alongside Montessori and play-based learning practices. Enrolled into the Nursery School provides children and their families access to other supports through our holistic approach.
Teachers and staff conduct routine home visits as a way to ensure the safety of families. Identified as a way to provide resources and referrals to families that may not otherwise seek assistance.
